I have lived in Annehurst for the last 4 years with my wife and 3 children. I have an MBA from Franklin University. I have worked as a Healthcare Administrator for the last 8 years and have served as the treasure of the AVRA for the past two years. Some of the goals I have had as a member of the AVRA is bringing in more community activities and continuing to work with the block watch to make our neighborhood a safer place. I also feel that one of the most pressing needs for the AVRA this coming year is to update our deed restrictions and bylaws so that we are in compliance with Ohio's Planned Community Law. My wife Joann and I have been residents of Westerville for 54 of the past 56 years and resident members of the AVRA for 40 years. We have sent 4 children through Annehurst Elementary school and the Westerville School System. I was a manager in a large corporation for 30 years and spent 10 years with a Manufacturing Software Company as a Manager and a Business Consultant. I also worked for TSA for 1 year after 9/11. Joann has operated her own business in Westerville and we have owned commercial property in Westerville for 36 years. We know how to successfully run a business and manage resources within a budget and will bring this knowledge and ability to the association. I have been an Annehurst Resident since 1985 and a graduate of Westerville high School. I always knew that Annehurst was one of the best areas to live. When my wife Lynn and I were looking for a home for our family it was one of our target areas. When we got here, there were many of the "original" owners. Now 26 years later I see the neighborhood beginning to go through an influx of younger families and I am starting to feel like an oldster. The experience that would make me a good AVRA board member is that I am president of our family's 100+ year old printing business. I have been active in the neighborhood and I am aware of many of the challenges facing the neighborhood and can bring a value of common sense to the decision process. My goal is to set up the groundwork for the future by implementing systems and policies that will insure success. We need to continue to widen the scope of focus to more than just the pool. Groundwork has been started to set up a Block Hawk System for every street, so new residents would feel welcome and residents would have a way to channel feedback back to the AVRA board. I will promote the use of Annehurst.com to communicate news and events. Our Easter Egg Hunt, Breakfast with Santa and the 5th Grade Regatta is just a start. An idea I have for 2011 is to have a "Shredder Day" where residents can bring outdated documents to securely be discarded. Finally, I want to challenge the younger new families to get involved in Annehurst. I do believe that our pool is a very important asset to our community. The pool offers a place where families can relax; a safe place where kids can spend the summer, learn to swim and be part of a swim team. One thing that is often overlooked is that the pool is an employer of up to 30 residents. Almost half of the annual income from the pool is returned to people who live right here in Annehurst. In today's economy, this is a great way for teens in the neighborhood to not only have a summer job, but also give them jumpstart into the job world. Anyone who doubts the value of the pool, just ask any realtor where they take prospective new Annehurst homebuyers during the sales process. Look to our south where neighborhoods have lost their pools. Let's never lose sight of what makes Annehurst a great neighborhood! Thank you for your consideration, Jeff Inskeep RAND PASELK - CLICK HERE FOR BIO

My wife Paula and I have been residents of Annehurst, at 68 Kennebec Place East, for 12 years. We have one daughter, 25, and two sons, 21 and 17. We have been members of the pool since 1999 and believe the Pool is the crown jewel of Annehurst. I have been on the AVRA board for four years, one as V.P. and three as President. I believe the most important issue for the AVRA is to update the deed restrictions and bylaws to reflect today's needs and are in compliance with Ohio's Planned Community Law. The current board has been working diligently to that end and I pledge to continue that effort. The new law will allow us to maintain all aspects the association including the Annehurst pool and is very important to our neighborhood and value of our homes. We were transferred to Columbus in November 2008, after living in Lakewood, Oh (just outside of Cleveland) for 7 years. Steve and I were born and raised in Pittsburgh. Upon arrival to Annehurst I set out on my usual morning run, getting lost several times I quickly realized this is a unique neighborhood. I was not out at 5a.m. alone, there were friendly folks (as one runner helped me find my way home) the houses were well maintained and clearly this was an active neighborhood. By the summer I had found my way around the neighborhood, enjoying the gardens and the awesome pool. As a former pool manager I knew and appreciated how much time, work and energy went into the upkeep and maintenance of the pool. I attended Slippery Rock University in PA., earning a BS in therapeutic Recreation. I worked in health care management where my main focus was census development. In my short career I helped open 3 Assisted Living facilities and saw them through until the centers were financially stable. Prior to our move to Cleveland I served on the PA Therapeutic Recreation Society board as the membership director for 3 years. In 2004 I made the decision to be a stay at home mom when Maeve was 1. Since that time we've had two more daughters Gwen 6 and Roan 3. Maeve and Gwen attend Annehurst Elementary and most morning you can see us walking to school along Main St. I would like to be involved in the AVRA board to help maintain the unique qualities of the neighborhood and continue to live in a safe active and friendly place.
